CS&G History
In the mid 70's, architectural firms were becoming "multi-disciplined", a large firm In Ohio hired Randy Cooper fresh out of Columbus College of Art & Design. His role was to become a project manager for the graphics group developing Image packages for a wide range of business parks, retail and HealthCare facilities. From the beginning Randy found a need for collaborative efforts to make projects successful, this often meant interfacing with architects, engineers, landscaping, planning and business resources. Mr. Cooper moved on to accept a position as VP with a large Missouri sign company to design and develop projects for them. This included national and regional retail accounts, hospitality (Hotel/Motel chains), as well as HealthCare groups. This lead to an opportunity to train and support the largest franchisee network of architectural sign companies in the world. An absentee owner franchisee in Sacramento brought in Randy as a partner to direct their operations design, and sales efforts.
In 1986 Mr. Cooper sold his interest to his partner and moved to Atlanta honoring a non-compete agreement with the sale of his California business. Randy and his wife Vickie began Cooper Signage & Graphics to consult with HealthCare and Corporate Complexes on both two and three dimensional projects. A natural evolution of this was to first broker then manufacture signage systems that they had designed.
